R is an incredibly powerful statistical environment and one of the most used statistical tool in life sciences. It is also free and open source. However, R has a steep learning curve. This course aims at making you comfortable with the R programming language within 5 days. Join us for this workshop in the beautiful region of Wendland, which provides an ideal learning environment.

Instructors

Karina, Mark, and Lea are biologists trained in ecology and molecular biology. They have extensive experience in applying and teaching life science data analysis.

Course details

The venue is the beautiful Proitzer Mühle

The seminar house is situated halfway between Uelzen and Salzwedel, ~ 5km distance from the Schnega train station. 

The course will be given in a format of short lectures followed by practical sessions. We will be walking you through the R code and participants will recreate the demonstrative examples using real-life data sets publicly available.

The workshop will be taught in English. We can also answer one-to-one questions in English, German, French, and Spanish.

Maximum number of participants is 15 students.

 

Requirements:
 
  • Participants must have access to a laptop.
  • A current version of R and RStudio software  installed before the start of the course .

Course fee (5 days):

376€ (Reduced student fee: 226€)

Accommodation (4 nights):

Single room: 344€

Shared room: 264€

Accommodation costs include all meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner + coffee break).

Not included in the costs: bedding (+8€)

Payment:

You will receive two separate invoices, one for the course fee and another for your accommodation costs.

Lectures and practical sessions will be held from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm (Including lunch break and coffee breaks).

Participant family members and guests are welcome to stay! Please contact us if you want to bring guests.
